addiExpress Stopper - suitable for both knitting machines.

You can use the stoppers to wind narrower panels and always end the row in the same position. This is particularly helpful if you want to create a uniform width. The addiStopper allows you to personally set the width of your panels for a fast and clean finish.

The set contains two stoppers.

With the addiExpress knitting machines you can knit either in rounds or straight in rows.

The width of the knitted piece in courses across all needles is:

  • addiExpress Professional: over 19 needles= approx. 15 to 20 cm width
  • addiExpress Kingsize: over 43 needles = approx. 45 cm width

With the stoppers you can easily reduce the panel width. You can also wind narrower panels without stoppers, but this requires some attention to wind back in the opposite direction at the right point. With a stopper, it is not possible to continue winding unintentionally.

Place the stoppers on the right and left side of your piece

  • On the right-hand side, position the stopper 2 needles to the right of the desired end.
  • Set the stopper from the counter on the left side 4 needles behind the desired start.

Tip to count the rows

If you use the “straight knitting” mode (from needle 4-22 or 45), the machine only counts complete back and forth rows. This means that if you use the stoppers, your shorter rows will not be counted in this way. Our tip:

  • Use the “Knit in the round” mode and use the black needles (1-3) in the center of your knitting.
  • In this way, you can reliably count back and forth rows.

Anwendungsbeispiel

For 32 stitches in straight knitting (addiExpress Kingsize), use needles 28 to 19 and move the stopper 4 needles to the left of the knitting piece and counter (between needles 23 and 24). On the right, place it 2 needles further, i.e. between needles 25 and 26.
