Knitting tunic

Pattern
Stockinette Stitch:
Row 1 (RS): Knit all stitches.
Row 2 (WS): Purl all stitches.
Stockinette Stitch:
Row 1 (RS): Purl all stitches.
Row 2 (WS): Knit all stitches.
Ribbed knitting
Multiple of 6 stitches + selvedge stitches. Follow the chart. In the WS rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs. Repeat rows 1-14 twice, and then repeat rows 1-10 once = 38 rows in total.
Pattern
Stockinette Stitch:
Row 1 (RS): Knit all stitches.
Row 2 (WS): Purl all stitches.

Ribbed knitting
Multiple of 6 stitches + selvedge stitches. Follow the chart. In the WS rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs. Repeat rows 1-14 twice, and then repeat rows 1-10 once = 38 rows in total.
Back
- Cast on 128 (140, 152) sts.

Work 3 r of stockinette stitch, starting with a RS row, then continue in reverse stockinette stitch.

After 10.2 in, work the waist shaping in the ribbing pattern: selv st, 21 (23, 25) repeats, selv st.

After 4.7 in = 38 r of ribbing pattern, switch back to stockinette stitch.

For shoulder shaping, decrease 12 sts on both sides every r after reaching a total length of 24.4 in. Decrease 2 times every other r (4 times, 6 times) by 3 sts, then 2 times by 5 sts, and finally 2 times by 7 sts.

For the neckline, after reaching a total length of 26.4 (26.8, 27.4) in, bind off the center 36 sts and continue each side separately.

For the neckline rounding, decrease 2 sts once every other r, and then decrease 1 st twice every other r.
Waist shaping in the ribbing pattern

- Work as for back piece for neckline but with the beginning of shoulder slope = after 62 cm total length, cast off the middle 16 sts and finish both sides separately.

For neckline rounding decrease 1x 4, 1x 3, 2x 2 and 3x 1 sts in every 2nd row.
Finishing
- Close shoulder seams. Pick up 110 (114, 120) sts for neckline - 48 sts in back, 62 (66, 72) sts in front.

Purl 3 rounds, then bind off all sts on the right side.

For armholes, pick up 70 (76, 82) sts from * to *, purl 3 r (= start with 1 wrong side r), then bind off sts on the right side.

Using addiEi or knitting dolly, work 3 knitting cords about 43.3 (47.2, 51.2) in long and thread them through the hole rows for the waist. Knot the cord ends.
Weave in ends and wash and block the finished tunic.
