With the set consisting of 2 tension guides, it is no longer necessary to hold the yarn - simply fix it in the tension guide and start knitting. The addi tension guide is specially adapted for both sizes of addiExpress knitting machines (Professional and Kingsize). It can therefore be fixed particularly securely in the golden yarn guide of the machines.

All sizes of yarn recommended for addiExpress (4-8 mm needle size) can be fixed with the thread tensioner. Hole sizes ∅ 3 - 4 mm

Install the tension guide

To attach the tension guide securely to your addiExpress knitting machine, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the golden thread holder of the machine
  2. Place the tension guide in the thread holder at a slight angle so that the bump on the underside is positioned exactly in the hole of the golden thread holder
  3. Guide the yarn out of the upper opening of the golden thread holder and then through at least one hole of the transparent yarn tensioner

Tips and tricks

Please guide the yarn out of the upper opening of the golden thread holder. If you insert it under the flap, it will be too tight.

  • Make sure that the yarn has a gentle tension when cranking to achieve an even stitch pattern.
  • The tension must never be too high. If you hear a loud cracking noise or if the cranks are difficult to turn, remove the yarn from the tensioner.
  • Be careful with knots - if you knot rather thick yarns, the knot will not fit through the hole and must be removed from the thread tensioner temporarily.

For thinner yarns

  • Is the yarn tension too low, even if the yarn runs through the smallest hole? Then pass the yarn through several holes in succession to increase the tension.
