Step 1
Slipover back
- Cast on 134/142/154/162 sts with US 2.5 (3mm) needles.

- Row 2 (WS): k1 (edge st), *k1, p2, k1, rep from * to the last st, k1 (edge st)
- Rep rows 1 & 2 until ribbing measures 2¾” (7 cm).
Change to US 4 (3.5mm) needles, begin working Stockinette st (k on RS, p on WS) and dec on the first row:

When all decreases have been completed you will have 82/88/94/102 sts. Continue working until armhole measures 10¾”/11”/11½”/12¼” (27/28/29/31 cm).
Note: Please read through the next section carefully before starting to knit: you will be shaping the shoulders and neck at the same time, so will need to keep track of bind off sts at each edge separately.
