Erasmus+ partners – as an apprentice abroad
The company has been participating in the Erasmus+ programme since this year. This allows us to offer our apprentice students the opportunity to gain experience abroad during their training with us.
Our apprentice Athanasios (3rd year warehouse logistics specialist) tried it out and visited a company in Poland.
Erasmus+ participating company – what does that actually mean?
As a certified Erasmus+ training company, we enable our apprentice students to gain international learning experiences in Europe.
Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, offering young people the opportunity to complete an internship in another European country as part of their training. The aim is to gain new professional insights, broaden their horizons and gain valuable international experience.
For apprentices, this means:
- Internships abroad lasting two weeks or more are possible.
- The stay takes place at a suitable European partner company and is closely linked to the training programme.
- Foreign language skills, independence and intercultural skills are specifically strengthened.
Such experiences not only enrich personal development, but also bring new perspectives and specialist knowledge back to our company.
Learning as a trainee abroad
A particularly good example is our apprentice Athanasios (3rd year warehouse logistics specialist).
He took part in an Erasmus+ internship abroad in Poland, where he gained valuable insights into international work processes.
After completing his stay abroad, he was able to receive official recognition for his efforts – together with us – at the vocational college in Hagen:
- the Europass,
- and a certificate for international professional mobility..
Both recognise his courage, openness and commitment to developing his skills beyond national borders.
We as a company were also recognised in the process and can now officially call ourselves an Erasmus+ Ausbildungspartner .
We are delighted that Athanasios took advantage of this opportunity and returned with so many positive impressions.
