The features of the addi2go app:
The addi2go app offers many functions related to needlework – whether for knitting or crocheting.
In addition to row counters, various calculation functions and the creation of your own projects, there are always new free instructions, tips and tricks as well as news and information about the addi brand.
The functions:
Create own projects
- Behind the function “My projects” hides a project management – here projects can be created and saved together with all information.
- PDFs, images, notes, row counter, sock calculator, stitch gauge calculator and much more can be saved directly in the project.
- Tip: As a project can be saved, for example, recurring themes such as socks, with matching tables and notes, as well as a project “Favorites” with several instructions or quite specific projects with notes on wool, etc.
Projects have the following functions:
- Insert photos as progress documentation and use them as cover images.
- Make notes
- Save row counter
- Save calculators like sock calculator and stitch gauge calculator (size selection and values remain saved in the respective project)
- Save photos as attachments
- Save PDFs as attachments
- Link/save instructions from the app in the project
Tip: In addition, you can save your projects to a cloud on the overview page, for example, to transfer them to a new smartphone or a second device.
Series counter with voice control
- The row counter can be controlled via the keys or conveniently via voice control. For this purpose, suitable words for counting can be selected in the settings.
- If the row counter is switched on, the always-on mode is activated and the display does not go out.
- In order not to be dazzled in the evening and to save energy, there is now also a night mode that can be switched at the bottom.
- Tip: A row counter can either be easily started via the start screen and then optionally assigned to a project via the link icon in the top right corner or created directly in a project.
Maschenprobe-Umrechner
Der Maschenrechner hat zwei Funktionen:
- Simply calculate your own instructions with the “Gauge swatch measure calculator” function
- or convert instructions with the “Gauge swatch converter”.
How it works:
- For the “Measure calculator” simply fill in the upper fields “Gauge swatch instructions” in step 1 and enter the desired measurements in cm or inches in step 2.
- For the converter, in step 1 enter the given gauge swatch from the instructions as well as your own deviating gauge swatch and in step 2 open the tab “Gauge swatch converter”.
Raglan-Rechner
- Der Raglan-Rechner ermöglicht ein einfaches berechnen der aufzunehmenden Maschen unter Berücksichtigung der eigenen Maschenprobe und des gewünschten Halsauschnittes.
- Breite der Raglan-Schräge und Aufteilung der Maschen lassen sich genau ablesen
- Es lassen sich Raglan-Pullover und Raglan-Strickjacken damit stricken
Sock calculator
- The sock calculator contains Sock charts from shoe size EU 17/18 to 48/49 for 4-ply, 6-ply and 8-ply sock wool.
- In addition, all necessary values for knitting classic top-down socks (from the cuff to the toe) and toe-up socks (from the toe to the cuff) are given.
- Sock calculators with the settings and values made can also be created and saved directly in your own projects.
The tables include values for:
- General values and breakdown for DPN, addiCraSyTrio and Sockwonder.
- For top-down techniques: Boomerang heel, Classic heel, Star toe, Classic roundet toe and Round toe.
- For toe-up techniques: Classic heel, Boomerang heel, Classic roundet toe and Round toe
- Tip: Matching sock tutorials can be found under “tutorials” in the app and here on the website.
Unit converter
- For easy conversion and translation of instructions, a table of European and US needle sizes and a unit pneumatic calculator can also be found among the calculators.
The unit converter includes the following units:
- cm – zoll (centimeters and zoll/ inch)
- g – oz (gramm and ounce)
- m – yd (meters and yards)
