Working student - questions and answers
What is a working student?
If you are studying full-time, you can work part-time in a paid job that also gives you work experience. This type of employment is exempt from insurance in Germany.
How many hours are you allowed to work?
During the semester you are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week. More hours are permitted during the semester break.
In total, the annual average of 26 hours may not be exceeded.
In which fields can you work?
It is ideal if you are close to the subject you are studying - this allows you to gain valuable professional experience - but it is not essential.
At addi you can choose from a wide range of professions.
