Starting Together: Our Apprentice Day 2026
August 17, 2026 was all about our apprentices! At our annual Apprentice Day, our new and experienced apprentices came together to get to know one another, learn more about the company and start the new training year as a team.
In August, we welcomed four new apprentices:
- Sofia and Abiram have started their training as Machine and Plant Operators
- David is our very first apprentice in our electroplating department and is training to become a Surface Coating Technician
- Tristan has started his apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic.
For Sofia, this new chapter is particularly special: She has already been part of our team for six years, producing our beautiful addi knitting needles and crochet hooks with great experience and dedication. Now, she has taken the courageous decision to start something new and begin an apprenticeship as a Machine and Plant Operator. We are delighted to see her taking on this new challenge and continuing to develop her career within our company.
Together with our more experienced apprentices Madleen, Phillip, Mika, Finn and Ardawho are now in their second or third year of training – and our two trainers Pauline and Lukas they spent an exciting and varied day together.
Alongside getting to know each other, the day also gave our new apprentices the opportunity to learn more about the company, our different departments and the processes behind our products. Team challenges encouraged everyone to work together, communicate and, of course, break the ice.
It is important to us that training with us means more than just learning a trade.
For us, an apprenticeship is about much more than simply learning a profession. We want our apprentices to develop personally and professionally, take responsibility, discover their strengths and show what they are capable of. We encourage them to stay curious, show initiative and motivation, and make the most of every opportunity they are given during their training.
We are proud to continue training our future skilled professionals in-house and supporting them throughout their journey.
We wish our new apprentices a fantastic start and every success in the years ahead. To those entering their second year, we wish you continued success, exciting challenges and plenty of new experiences. And for those starting their third and final year, the finishing line is getting closer: we wish you determination, success and a strong finish over the coming months.
We are looking forward to another great year together – stay curious, show us what you can do and make the most of every opportunity!
