addi has passed the Ökoprofit test 2026
Environmentally friendly management,commitment of employees to the sustainable use of resources, securing and attracting skilled workers – these are and were good reasons for addi to participate in the recertification of the “Ökoprofit NRW” project.

In 2020, we received the recognized and proven certification for our company’s environmental and climate protection practices.
Thanks to the continuity of these efforts and the implementation of additional measures, we were once again presented with the certificate in June 2022 and received it again in June 2026.
During the presentation event at Holzbrinck Castle in Altena, the recertification certificate was presented to Managing Director Claudia Malcus and her daughter Pauline Ciesielski.

In 2026, we once again underwent recertification to ensure the award’s continued validity. To this end, addi has a project team of approximately 18 employees who meet regularly to review measures already implemented or to initiate new ones. And they’ve been successful:
- 2023 Support for regional reforestation (Kohlberg, Neuenrade)
- 2024 Switch to eco-friendly cleaning agents in the electroplating department –€10,000, saving approximately 60,000 kWh of electricity as well as 12 metric tons of CO2 and reducing chemical use (elimination of the washing system)
- 2024 Switch to recycled paper for catalogs and flyers —savings in primary raw materials, improved environmental footprint
- 2024 Introduction of a flex-time model, including a 4-day workweek in production —higher employee satisfaction, better machine utilization
- 2026 Expansion of energy-efficient lighting control through the installation of additional motion sensors —Reduction in electricity consumption through demand-based lighting
- 2026 Identification of major electricity consumers as a basis for further energy-saving measures —Transparency regarding energy consumption, basis for future savings

Of course, all members of the Ökoprofit team by addi are aware that it takes a lot of patience to change behaviors and that technical or local conditions can sometimes cause failure, but this does not detract from their commitment.
The awareness of thinking about future generations and showing personal commitment to this is the basis for the successful implementation of the project.
