Care of bamboo knitting needles and crochet hooks

A special wax finish protects the needles, making them particularly durable and easy to glide. With use, the wax surface wears away over time and the tips can become blunter.
To refresh the needles, they can simply be sharpened and sanded smooth (with very fine sandpaper). Applying olive oil or coconut oil and then polishing with a cotton cloth will make the needles shine almost like new again.
