- Knit a few rows with spare yarn
- Then continue knitting 308 rows.
-
Work a few rows in the spare yarn, then discard the knitted fabric.
-
Pick up the sts of the last row on needle 4 mm and remove the spare yarn.
-
Now drop the 4th stitch on each side until the 1st row, then crochet up again on the back as a rib and lift back onto the circular needle.
-
Then proceed in the same way with the 5th stitch.
-
Loosely cast off 7 mm with the circular knitting needle.
Pick up the sts of the 1st row on the circular needle 4 mm, remove spare knit and then cast off loosely with needle 7 mm.
Tip: Steam the scarf carefully and smooth it out. Then the ribbed edge comes into its own.

Tip
Matress Stitch
- Place the edges you want to join side by side in parallel, face up.
- Capture Using a woolen needle or blunt embroidery needle, stitch the cross thread between the edge stitch and the 1st stitch.
-
Pull the thread through. On the opposite side, also pick up the cross thread between the edge stitch and the 1st stitch and pull the thread through.
-
Repeat this alternately on one side and the other.
Once you have joined approximately 2 cm like this, tighten the thread you are working with. The knitted pieces will join together seamlessly.
