Granny balaklava crochet
Crocheted balaclavas made from large granny squares can be customized in terms of colour. Made from soft yarns with wool content, they are nice and warm for the first cooler days of fall. A tutorial from Lang Yarns.

Balaklava crochet
Crochet pattern I:
Hook 5,5 mm according to crochet chart.
- Square color sequence A: 1 rnd each of rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac.

Square color sequence B: 1 rnd each of nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange.
-
Square color sequence C: 1 rnd each of lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose.
-
Square color sequence D: 1 rnd orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat.

Balaklava crochet
Crochet pattern I:
Hook 5,5 mm according to crochet chart.
- Square color sequence A: 1 rnd each of rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac.

Square color sequence B: 1 rnd each of nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange.

Square color sequence C: 1 rnd each of lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat, rose.

Square color sequence D: 1 rnd orange, lilac, nougat, rose, orange, lilac, nougat.

How it works
Crochet a balaklava with granny squares
Granny square crochet:
- ch 4, join with a ss to make a ring with hook 5,5 mm (US #I)
-
Crochet pattern from chart I, work 2 squares each following color sequences A, B and D, and 1 square in color sequence C.
Finishing:
Join the squares together as shown in the schematic: on WS crochet ss through the back loops with orange. Weave in ends. Block as desired.
The dotted lines are not connected. They form the end of the face.
