Crochet a basket with macramé or textile yarn
A cute rabbit basket that is wonderful as a decoration or for collecting eggs.

What you need:
- Macramé yarn or textile yarn approx. 50 m (55 yd) 5 mm thick

Crochet hook 8-10 mm/ US L-N

Abbreviations:
- sc – single crochet

inc – increases (two single crochets in one stitch)

ch – chain stitches

sl st – slip stitch

hdc – treble crochet

This is how it works:
Bottom
The bottom is crocheted from the inside out. Each round is completed and restarted. All single crochet stitches from round 2 onwards are worked in knit stitch, not in the classic way, but crocheted through the V of the single crochets.
- Rd 1: Crochet 6 dc in a magic ring.

Rd 2: 6 x inc [= 12 stitches].

Rd 3: 6 x (1 sc, 1 inc) [= 18 stitches].
Basket
- Rd 4: Crochet one round of single crochets only in the back section of the previous round stitches. This creates the edge.

Rd 5–8: Crochet 4 rounds of continuous single crochet stitches in spiral rounds - continue in knit stitch.

Ears
- Rd 9: 7 sc, *5 ch, now crochet back along the ch chain and start in the 2nd ch from the hook: 1 sc, 1 tc, 1 dc, 1 tc*; 1 sc in each of the next 3 stitches of the basket; repeat from * to * one more time for the 2nd ear.
- Complete the round.
Finish
- Rd 10: 1 sl st in each sl st of the rd.

Cut the yarn, leave a yarn for sewing and hide the ends with the needle.
The basket is ready!

Ears
- Rd 9: 7 sc, *5 ch, now crochet back along the ch chain and start in the 2nd ch from the hook: 1 sc, 1 tc, 1 dc, 1 tc*; 1 sc in each of the next 3 stitches of the basket; repeat from * to * one more time for the 2nd ear.
- Complete the round.
Finish
- Rd 10: 1 sl st in each sl st of the rd.
