Donation handover for the project “Language Connects”

The Rotary Club of Altena-Werdohl-Plettenberg visited addi
We were delighted to welcome the Rotary Club Altena-Werdohl-Plettenberg to our premises in Altena!
During a tour of our manufacturing facility, visitors were able to see how many individual steps are required to produce a knitting needle—and how much passion our team puts into precision and quality every day.
A special highlight was the donation handover for the “Language Connects” project:
The pitch-back prize won by Pauline Dörr bei den Wirtschaftsjunioren and the SIHK was topped up by addi. Together, we are supporting a project that promotes integration and understanding in our region.
We would like to say thank you for visiting, for the exciting discussions, and for our joint contribution to an important issue!

Pauline Dörr at Pitch-Back
At the end of August 2025, Pauline Dörr (junior manager) presented the company at an event organized by the SIHK and the Wirtschaftsjunioren.
In a so-called pitch back, the aim was to present the company with the addi brand to a jury of start-up companies. She competed against two other entrepreneurs from the region. The companies Julius Klinke and Ossenberg-Engels from Neuenrade also took part.
Pauline gave a convincing presentation and won a check for €500 for a social project. We have topped up the amount and can donate €1,000 to the “Language Connects” project.
