The addi classic since 1945 is the addiPremium circular knitting needle. The finest transitions between needle tip and cord as well as the smoothest, white-bronzed needle tips allow the stitches to glide without resistance. It is not for nothing that the premium needle is also known as the ‘addiTurbo’ in the USA. The basic tips are well suited for thicker yarns and more fibrous yarns (e.g. bobbles that are not twisted or only slightly twisted yarns) because the tips do not accidentally pierce ‘between’ the yarn, but into the stitches.

Background knowledge about the material of our addi circular knitting needles:
The raw material for our needle tips is brass. This is finished in many layers with a white bronze surface, which makes our addi needles so extremely smooth. The flexible plastic cords, printed with the length and thickness, are ‘knotted’ to the needle tips in a special process, creating a very stable and seamless connection that lasts. A perfect connection.

One needle, many lengths

Like all our circular knitting needles, the addiPremium Classic circular knitting needle usually has two white-bronzed needle tips, each 125 mm long. This tip length feels good in the hand and almost all diameters in the round can be knitted with it - at least everything with a diameter of at least 60 cm.

The shorter circular knitting needles (20-50 cm total length) are equipped with shorter needle tips with a length of 90 mm. Knitting in the round would not be possible here with longer tips because of the short cord. Thanks to the shorter tips, hats, for example, can also be knitted quite comfortably with a circular knitting needle without changing needles.

The round basic tips

There are our circular knitting needles with some rounder tips (Basic)recognisable by the golden cord and with fine lace, recognisable by the red cord.

The round tips of the addiClassic circular knitting needle are particularly suitable for low twist yarns, loose knitters and beginners, as the tips do not prick easily between the multi-threaded yarns.
