The addiNovel double pointed needle is characterized by a special feel: The square needles with rounded edges and textured surface ensure perfect ergonomics when knitting, even under high demands. This means that even knitting lovers with osteoarthritis or other disorders of the hands and muscles are getting to enjoy knitting, because the new needles fit snugly in the hand and can be held effortlessly.

Extra fine lace tips

The extra fine lace tips are also ideal for fine yarns and patterns. The small mounds on the needle ensure that patterns with turn-ups do not slip off the needle so quickly and unintentionally when knitting. In addition, the long tapered lace shape is suitable for knitting many stitches together comfortably at once.

Ideal for firm knitters, toe-up socks with lots of increases and many other challenging techniques.

The size of the needle

The following applies to all addi needles: The diagonal of the cross section is decisive for the needle size specification. Sounds complicated? But it is quite simple: If we were to cut through the addiNovel, we would have a square in front of us. The needle size corresponds to the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner. So the addiNovel with 3,5 mm needle size have a diagonal of 3,5 mm.

Our addiCalibro wooden needle gauge set now allows you to measure the Novel gauge directly in the square recesses, but measuring is also no problem with a needle gauge with round recesses: To do this, insert the tip of the addiNovel into a hole of the needle size. If the tip of the needle fits into the hole of the needle gauge up to the first knop pattern, this is the correct size.

Tip: If you knit very loosely or very tightly on average, the perfectly smooth surface of the needles ensures that the stitches glide perfectly, and at the same time the structure prevents the needle from slipping out of the knitted piece unintentionally. For particularly tight knitters, we rather recommend needles with round tips without a pronounced structure, as otherwise the stitches will not glide ideally over the needle.
