Double-Pointed Needles

The double pointed needles are a set of rigid stocking knitting needles. They are used for knitting socks, hats or even gloves. Unlike circular knitting needles, stocking needles are used for smaller, circular knitting projects. The classic double pointed needles consists of five stocking needles, each with two tips. When knitting, you knit in rounds, so the knitted object is worked from needle to needle. So you always knit in a circle. The stitches are distributed over four knitting needles and the fifth needle is used to knit off the stitches.

For very small knitting projects, the stitches can also be distributed over three needles and knitted with the fourth needle.

Double-Pointed Needles

The double pointed needles are a set of rigid stocking knitting needles. They are used for knitting socks, hats or even gloves. Unlike circular knitting needles, stocking needles are used for smaller, circular knitting projects. The classic double pointed needles consists of five stocking needles, each with two tips. The addiCraSyTrio is a set of three Double Pointed Needles with flexible middle part that adapts to any hand. They are perfect for knitting rounds with small diameters. Knit rounds with only two needle changes per round.

The patented addiCraSyTrio, which consists of only 3 flexible needles, also belongs in the “needle set” category. With the addiCraSyTrio, two needle tips are each connected by a very short rope, so similar to a circular knitting needle – only much shorter. The stitches are distributed on only two needles and knitted off with the third needle. This is not only easier, but also quicker than with a 5 needle set, because fewer needle changes are necessary. For beginners it is an enormous relief when knitting socks if instead of 5 needles only 3 needles have to be mastered.
