addition - Bloggers and Traders Meeting
What do you call the meeting of bloggers, retailers and designers in the Sauerland? addition.
More than 30 participants met at addi for a factory tour and workshops last Saturday, 10.09.2023.
Conclusion: simply beautiful.
A partnership is indispensable
The first blogger meeting took place at addi in 2017. After a company tour in the morning, we presented the addiCrasyTrio needles in the afternoon. They were still brand new. A success story followed.
We then consistently continued and expanded the good cooperation with the bloggers and in the meantime also with the influencers and content creators. Today, this group has become a firm partnership for us at addi and we can no longer imagine doing without it.

And indeed, more than 30 people followed the call and came to the Sauerland for a long Saturday. Some arrived already on Friday evening and held the first knitting meeting in the hotel in the most beautiful weather after a long journey.

Presentation
On Saturday, the meeting started at 9.09 a.m. with a presentation about the company Gustav Selter GmbH & Co. KG. A traditional company that was founded as early as 1829 and has been a specialist in crochet hooks ever since, as well as a specialist in premium quality knitting needles for a very, very long time.
Company director Claudia Malcus gave an insight into the company, its history, the values that are passed on from generation to generation and linked the traditional with the innovative strength of the company. In addition to a brief overview of the entire programme, there was a more detailed explanation of the new products of the year.

Many (manual) working steps
Afterwards, they went on a tour of the production in 2 groups. The addi employees had come especially on Saturdays to give an insight into their work and to demonstrate how many (manual) steps are necessary to produce a circular knitting needle or a crochet hook.
At the end of the tours, everyone was unanimous in saying "I wouldn't have thought that. So much work to make a needle and with so much attention to detail."

After a delicious lunch between needles and wool, the planning team from addi had then prepared 2 workshops, which were led by Caroline Prange (Caros Fummeley) and Sylvie Rasch (CraSy) were conducted. Training in photo shooting and working with the addiExpress were on the programme and further fuelled the exchange among each other.
The concept of bringing together the different groups of handicraft enthusiasts was a complete success.

addi employees had provided afternoon refreshments and homemade cakes before the departure for the journey home.
At the end there was a conclusion from all: "This was such a nice day and please have another edition soon."
