Crochet birthday card
The individual parts of the birthday cake are crocheted in rows from sc. At the end of each row is turned. Each new row begins with a turning ch. Finally, all pieces are crocheted around with a round of sc.
The round begins with a ch and ends with 1 dc in the 1st st of the round. The heart is crocheted in round from ch, hdc and dc. The rnds end with 1 ch. Glue the appliqué onto the greeting card. You can also sew the individual pieces together and use them as a classic patch.
The cake consists of 4 individual parts (cake layers) and a heart.

Crochet the little heart:
Crochet in rounds: The 1st rnd is crocheted in a magic ring.
- 1st round: 2 ch, 3 hdc, 3 sc, 2 hdc, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 2 ch, 1 sl st.
- 2nd round: 2 ch, 3x 1 sc inc, 3 sc, 2x 1 sc inc, 3 sc, 3x 1 sc inc, 2 ch, 1 sl st into the magic ring.
- Cut the thread. Close the magic ring tightly.
- Sew all loose threads.
Crochet one heart each in gold, turquoise, petrol and coral.
Finishing:
Glue the cake layers on top of each other on the folding card. Glue the little heart with a distance of approx. 2 cm slightly diagonally above the top cake layer.
When gluing, a pair of tweezers can be helpful when placing the individual parts. Connect the heart and the cake base with stitches in gold, which you stitch through the cardboard of the card. To make it easier, you can lightly mark out the embroidery path with a pencil and before you pull in the thread, pre-punch the holes with the embroidery needle.
Tip: If you like, you can paint the card with crayons or individualize it with stamps or stickers. For the gift tag, glue 3 hearts on top of each other on the tag.
