The "ear to the customer" is a very important issue at addi. Working in partnership with customers and suppliers is part of addi's mission statement. And this is where ideas and developments come from.
That's exactly how the addiUnicorn circular knitting needles came into being. The first addiUnicorn was born in 2022. A customer approached us with an idea for the surface of the addi knitting needle tips. After we had already successfully launched the addiNovel needle on the needlework market in 2019, we took up the new idea and started the first trials.

After we had already successfully launched the addiNovel needle on the needlework market in 2019, we took up the new idea and started the first trials.
It was not that easy, there were many failed attempts and the idea had to be modified and developed further. Since giving up was not an option, with the luck of the brave and the modification of the design, we found a way to produce the tips.
Suddenly they looked like the horn of a unicorn. And then the rest happened on its own. It was clear to everyone that a bright rope color was needed and the packaging had to be appropriately fancy. So the Unicorn series was born. Pink cord and cool packaging design in combination with the spiral, shiny tip are the basis for the addiUnicorn.
