Toe-up Classic Roundet Toe
The toe-up roundet toe is not difficult at all – instead of decreasing, you increase here. The toe starts with only 8 stitches.
Step by step we explain how to knit the roundet toe – with addiCraSyTrio, DPN and Sockwonder.
Knitting toe-up roundet toe – cast on
The toe always starts the same way – with 8 stitches, which are cast on on two needles in parallel. For the roundet toe is increased in two places – to the right and left of the toes. This creates a band that frames the toes.
- addiCraSyTrio – With the trios, you always increase at the beginning and end of the needles. You dont need stitch markers. The bands are created at the needle transitions.
- DPN – For Toe-Up socks, cast on your stitches over 2 needles with the Judys Magic Cast on. In the first round you knit, divide your stitches on 4 needles and now cast on at the beginning of needles 1 and 3, and at the end of needles 2 and 4.
- addiSockwonder – If you want to work a toe-up toe, we recommend using DPN or addiCraSyTrio or use the magic loop tecnic for the toe (then proceed with these needles as described for “addiCraSyTrio”).
The roundet toe can also be knitted top-down from the cuff to the toe. The tutorial you can find here:
