The toe-up roundet toe is not difficult at all – instead of decreasing, you increase here. The toe starts with only 8 stitches.

How it works – Part 1 – Knitting toe up Classic Heel

Knitting toe-up roundet toe – cast on

The toe always starts the same way – with 8 stitches, which are cast on on two needles in parallel. For the roundet toe is increased in two places – to the right and left of the toes. This creates a band that frames the toes.

  • addiCraSyTrio – With the trios, you always increase at the beginning and end of the needles. You dont need stitch markers. The bands are created at the needle transitions.
  • DPN – For Toe-Up socks, cast on your stitches over 2 needles with the Judys Magic Cast on. In the first round you knit, divide your stitches on 4 needles and now cast on at the beginning of needles 1 and 3, and at the end of needles 2 and 4.
  • addiSockwonder – If you want to work a toe-up toe, we recommend using DPN or addiCraSyTrio or use the magic loop tecnic for the toe (then proceed with these needles as described for “addiCraSyTrio”).

How it works – Part 1 – Knitting toe up Classic Heel

Knitting toe-up roundet toe – cast on

The toe always starts the same way – with 8 stitches, which are cast on on two needles in parallel. For the roundet toe is increased in two places – to the right and left of the toes. This creates a band that frames the toes.

The increases of the roundet toe are knitted as follows:

Round 2 – addiCraSyTrio (Right side): Per needle: * k1, increase 1, k to 2 sts before end of needle, increase 1, k1 *
Round 2 – DPN (Right side): 1st: * k1, increase 1, knit all
2th: k to 2 sts before end of needle, increase 1, k1
3th: * k1, increase 1, knit all
4th: k to 2 sts before end of needle, increase 1, k1
Round 2 – addiSockwonder (Right side): Proceed with miracle loop as indicated under addiCraSyTrio
Part 2 – Increases

  • Repeat round 2 then according to chart every 4th round (knit further rounds)
